Improvement in conditions of service for employees on salary levels 1 to 12 and those covered by occupation specific dispensations (OSDs): Cost-of-living adjustment for Public Service Act appointees: 1 April 2018.
With Effect from 1 June 2018 the GEPF will be introducing a new Benefit called Child’s Pension.
Resolution 1 of 2017 – this benefit has agreed in the PSCBC and The Resolution states that this benefit will become implemented once the Rules of the GEPF has been amended.
The Child’s Pension Benefit will replace the current Orphan’s Pension Benefit.
The Public Service Co-ordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) General Secretary, Mr Frikkie De Bruin has conveyed a message of support on behalf of the Council to the Mandela family. The PSCBC is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cde. Nomzamo Winifred Madikizela-Mandela, affectionately known by South Africans as Mama Winnie Mandela. Cde. Winnie’s passing signifies a great loss to our Nation, she was one of the most revered struggle heroes of our time who played a significant role towards the liberation of the people of South Africa from the apartheid regime.
The PSCBC would like to express its deepest condolences to the Mandela and Madikizela families on the passing of our dear Mama Winnie. May her soul forever rest in peace!!!
